Featured Swatch Watch 2003/4 Bunny Sutra

I trolled the auctions to find rare vintage swatch watches once in a while to do my featured swatch watch auction review.

How do I define rare? Limited edition? Vintage? It seems obvious when items are listed as limited edition or rare. But what does it mean when a Swatch Watch is considered vintage?

Vintage: Characterized by excellence, maturity, and enduring appeal; classic. Old or outmoded. (taken from freedictionary.com)

I like the part about eduring appeal and classic. Don't we feel this way when we exclaim "Wow, this is so vintage!".

Back to the topic. For me I like to search for vintage swatch watch with a background story or special significance. For example, I especially love the "Osiris" Swatch watch on auction previously on eBay as I love Egyptian mythical stories.

It doesn't have to be priced highly to be vintage or rare. It has to be interesting.

Take a look at this Bunny Sutra Swatch Watch with a 6 pair of bunnies in different frollicking positions every hour. And they glow in the dark too! :) When you tap on the face the hands spin and points randomly at a 'position'. Cute! Vintage! A user reviewed this watch at Amazon.com

"I received this watch as a gift and I absolutely love it. When you tap the face, the hour hands allign at 12 o'clock, and then rotate together clockwise until they stop on one of the six 'bunny sutra' positions. After a few seconds...." (read the full review at amazon.com)
